This characterful period end-terrace property is situated in the Nether Edge Conservation Area, so a carefully considered and sympathetic design was the key to a successful planning application. The owners are renovating the whole property, and wanted a modern, highly glazed kitchen-diner extension as well as a new rear dormer to provide extra space on the top floor. The new additions to the house are designed as striking, contemporary forms which contrast with, but compliment, the original Victorian property in the use of a coordinating palette of materials.
