By designing a contemporary ground floor extension which projects wider than the side of the house, the new kitchen/diner will benefit from plenty of light throughout the day. The extension will be a striking modern addition to this period home; the standing seam zinc cladding contrasts with the Victorian brickwork while the pitched roof form complements the shape of the main house.
