An important consideration in this project was to make the most of the fantastic views from the rear of the house, while increasing the internal space and creating a better connection to the garden, which was almost a full storey down. This was resolved by designing a split level kitchen/dining/living space in a single storey rear extension, incorporating plenty of glazing and a large triangular window. At the side, a two storey extension provides space for a utility, WC and extensions to the bedrooms above. On the top floor a new master suite has been created in the extended roof and a large rear dormer, again enjoying those incredible views.
